Omfg i would go insane if my SO would keep asking me that question. Like girl, if i stopped loving you you would know, believe me.
One day, I’m sure he will go insane 😆
Cause I’m not done asking, that’s for sure…
May you someday find the self confidence required to stop asking 🙏
Actually never, probably
I’m 7 years into a relationship like this. I love her, but it’s breaking us apart. If you love your SO, please don’t neglect your mental health. What is reassuring and cute to you can become a taxing chore with time until one person is more like a caretaker than a lover.
New question: “would you love me even if I kept asking if you love me to point that you become more like a caretaker than a lover?”
I know he’s acting like a caretaker for me. I know I’m just being a burden to him. I’m just pulling him down with me…
Don’t worry. I’m aware how pathetic I am. I really am…but I don’t think I’ll get much better. It’s my fault that I started this relationship, I’m only hurting him and making more work for him in the end 🥲
Hey, you’re getting some really rough replies here. Not everyone is like this person and a lot of people do have capacity for reassurance, even long term. (I’m one, for instance, with my partner.)
I think it’s incredibly cruel to imply your partner, who they’ve never met, will eventually tire and leave you. That’s playing into your obvious fears, and they have no idea what your situation and partnership is.
Take care, and listen to your heart and your partner, not callous lemmy comments. ♥️
I recognize everything you say and the tone of it, and I’m just immune to that angle. If you take a step back and look at it, it’s an appeal for more reassurance. I’m just saying that for your partners sake, and if you actually want the relationship to work, the best thing you can do is working on your confidence. If you don’t, every “But baby I do love you let me show you” will gradually become hollow words, and eventually filled with resentment. That’s not what you actually want, right?
Well it sounds like your partner is telling you he loves you even if things stay the way they are and that should make the two of you very happy. It sounds like you are doing this, but just remember it is always worth trying to improve your own mental health situation even when things feel hopeless. It’s not selfish to need help and support as long as you and your partner have healthy boundaries and can communicate openly and honestly.
I like it personally it gives me a good opertunety to express how i feel ab them :))
Yup.
Different things in different relationships works for different people . To each their own basically 🫂🤷🏿♂️
