Sorry you’re getting some hate. If it helps, it’s because most of us like you. Tall poppy syndrome and all that. If you need a break, please take it for your mental health but I hope you stick around.

You past funny content…primarily to a shit post community. It doesn’t matter if its all real or not, it’s content.

You are young compared to the majority of people here, which seems to be about 30. The Brad post, and the one where you mentioned being very exposed to some of your parents activities, set off some alarm bells in people’s head. The activities you describe, like rushing into relationship and sleeping around - while all your personal choices, and not our business - some people just want to make sure you’re okay. That comment you shared, to me that seems like a worried person that instead of constructive dialogue, decided to phrase it as a smear campaign against you - or they hate your content and they have nothing better to do.

I hope you’re not attracting creepy DMs, but if you do please report them and if it’s bad enough maybe publicly share them so we all know who to block.

Most importantly, keep having fun. Your posts are enjoyable. We’re all adults, we can enjoy a horny joke/story without crossing a line.

What you do in your personal life is up to you, just be safe and if you need advice on anything important, this ain’t the place to get it.

I don’t know, is it really a solo trip if you’re with 2 other people? Something isn’t adding up here. What does solo even mean when there are 2 others hanging around?

And if I already have this many questions, then who knows? Why can’t those two guys be your parents? Maybe you aren’t on a solo trip at all, you’re on a trip with two other guys.

i talked about this before on here. i consider it a solo trip cause i can go and do wherever & whatever i want whenever i want, i don’t even have to interact with the 2 guys if i dont want to. they were sent among by my parents cause i got anxious about being completely on my own & it’s my first ever experience like this, so they thought it’d be better to have someone watch over me.

I’m only going to scroll so far through your post history and I didn’t see your explanation, so sorry for making you repeat yourself. That said, I think solo is the wrong word for it if they’re explicitly there so you aren’t alone. Just say you’re on a trip, there’s no shame in that.

You can emphasize that you’re on your first trip without your parents, that’s still a pretty big step towards independence, but I’m going to fixate a little too hard on it being a solo trip you’re taking with friends.

thing is, they’re not my “friends”. their task is to be more of my “shadow”. the fact that i willingly deviated from that for my own pleasure is another thing entirely, lol.

but yeah this is splitting hairs atp

Lemmy is a male-dominated platform with a misogyny problem. My posting style subverts their narrow archetypes of women (the Madonna-whore complex), which tends to trigger defensive or negative reactions.

a specific internal conflict some men experience where they view women as belonging to one of two mutually exclusive categories: the “saintly” Madonna or the “debased” whore.

my posting style makes these men think that I’m obviously trying to scam/catfish/sell something (whore) because obviously a woman who isn’t wouldn’t be on here posting stuff like that in the first place (Madonna).

i also find it quite funny cause if you’ve seen my posts and comments you can deduce that money is not something i lack… i do love attention and being an entertaining court jester but i do it purely for the love of the game, lol. also a slut purely for the love of the game.

The entire platform is nonstop triggered and posts negative reactions on any number of topics. Such is the nature of online communities and anonymity.

        I love it

I’m a woman, I’ve noticed that while Lemmy is better than some spaces it’s very male centric in very stereotypical ways, I love your stuff I think it’s great for exactly the reason it triggers them - the point isn’t that men are getting triggered, the point is that my perspective is being validated too!

        Keep it up

Can we not put her on a pedestal and make her a representation of all women here?

I’ve been reading through their content and I can sort of see why people don’t like them.

I know there’s a lot of misogyny on the platform, it’s everywhere and escaping it is impossible, but I don’t necessarily think it’s the case for them? They just mostly seem disingenuous and posting for attention. People naturally tend to not like that.

I get what you’re saying, but if it’s just that I think most people would just downvote or block them.

It looks like some people still feel the need to interact with OP, but seem to be capable of doing so only in very negative or aggressive ways.

Not excusing the behavior because it’s not right, but I think it could be a major problem stemming from this platform and how it’s organized. This place seems to be too small for that to be effective. The majority of the people on this site might not want to see something, but if a small group does then their activity is enough to push it to the front page anyway.
