Good advice, it’s always important to diversify your methods of disappointing your father.
My dad teased me, pretty mercilessly at times, as a child and I’m sure that’s fed into a lot of the issues I have (and have had) as an adult. Doing my best to process and deal with that, of course, but on the bright side it means I get to disappoint the man regardless of what I do. No alternative ways needed.
No thank you, my father is a dutiful Fox/OANN/Newsmax enjoyer. If I’m not disappointing him I’m doing something wrong. And living my life the way I want to live it makes me happy.
Sometimes its not the dad you start with that matters but the dads you meet along the way.
