Hypersexuality is not a sexuality, it’s a physical and or mental issue depending on the exact type but in most cases its extremely impactful on ones quality of life. Worked with someone who had it due to a brain injury from playing college football. It was a really noticeable issue for them and required a decent bit of medical over sight.

It’s really really annoying when people claim they have it when in reality. They are just horny or have a high libido.

Frankly this flag pisses me off and really undermines a serious medical condition. It comes across as fetish bait.

To be clear they still are a friend and we play dnd frequently. Seriously. Fuck this flag.

There are disability/neurodivergence pride flags too. Would you ditch the ADHD flag to stop “oh, I’m SO ADHD” people from using it?

Audhd ain’t a disorder in the same sense as hypersexuality. Most people with it aren’t profoundly disabled and it is more akin to personality and abilities.

Hypersexuality appears to be closer to e.g. compulsive behavior. Noone is proud for having a compulsion or benefits from them proportionately to the harm.

You are conflating terms due to linguistic similarities.

          ADHD is a disorder.

It’s symptoms can include compulsive behaviour, executive disfunction and emotional disregulation and other stuff that make life much more difficult.

          It is disabling.

Speaking as someone who suffered from this since I was little. I have been punished by my parents, humiliated by teachers and got in trouble at work multiple times because of these behaviours I have no control of.

Noone is proud for having a compulsion or benefits from them proportionately to the harm.

ADHD gives no benefits. It’s a disability.
