I have tankfully never heard anyone complain about a piece of software being coded by a furry transgendered person.

In fact, it seems like a stamp of quality :P

Movies, however…? Man, I remember when the Wachowski Sisters transitioned…

Same I didn’t realize this was a thing. Even among the maga dumb fucks and hyper nationalistic loons. The stereotype of the gay trans LGBT furry being the one who’s the good IT and software guy is still a thing.

It’s like typically the only time I see them be positive about lgbtq anything or furry anything.

Yes iowa is a shitty place

At the risk of being mauled by groupthink here I’ll just say that Revolutions had 10 hours of philosophy packed into a 2 hour box. The ending felt flat. I recently reached the whole series and I agree that the first movie aged well while the middle 2 were a letdown.

IMO if you want to make an arthouse movie don’t try to taco it onto an action blockbuster.

Glad they are happy with their genders. Doesn’t really belong in the criticism of their movies.

Speed Racer is one of those where you get out what you put in. It’s not for everyone.

I think most will agree with some dude tbh. Funnily enough I haven’t seen Speed Racer so can’t comment on that, but much of the rest of what they’ve directed after the original Matrix movie has been disappointing.

The only memorable bits of 2 and 3 are the action scenes (highway chase and Neo clones vs Smith clones) and for Resurrections, not even that. Recasting both Morpheus and Smith made it even worse. Cloud Atlas… Idk, I’m sure someone liked it, I was close to falling asleep.

I will have to give Sense8 a shot one of these days, premise sounds interesting so maybe it’ll redeem them in my eyes. Cautiously optimistic on that one, reviews seem to be good.

Ah, I think I see the confusion.

I had made a remark about how people were harsh with the Wachowskis because of their gender, and your next words were that they were frauds who make trash movies.

I took that as an explanation and justification for WHY people were being terrible, so my response was meant as a general response. Not saying you were criticising them for being trans.

Reminds of a fascinating story of an prehistoric Aryan shaman leader excavated in Germany in 30s who turned out to be a witch female with a unique genetic twist that gave her an ability to go in trance at will, and she was so important, her grave received sacrifices 400 years after she died.

Newest plot twist in this case: Studies kinda proved that she (like almost everybody at this time in Europe) was black

So the Nazi used her for her propaganda as the male aryan clan king. But in the End she was a black shaman :D

Here a podcast according to this case from a German public Radio. Sadly there is no international version.

i just want to note that the “genetic twist” was a fucked up neck/spine, not the magical ability to control her own brain. She would have to tilt her head in just the right way to trigger it.

It’s a fairly rare development of blood vessels in the neck. By twisting her head she were able to restrict blood flow to brain and it brought side effects which mesolithic people probably considered to be a magic power.

And I mean make this a feminist Nazi-sploitation movie a la X + Inglorious basterds and it’s nearly pandering.

Would you settle for software made by autistic furry cis twinks? I know it’s not ideal but we’re a little short at the moment; I promise we’ll get a new shipment in soon. We’ve successfully introduced them to puppy play which they seem to be enjoying and we’ve got them on a steady diet of trans memes, if that helps

I’m for progress. Anyone with any decent edification on the subject knows that what we call “AI” is an LLM. The point is I don’t care if a solution comes from any source, be it the mathematical proofs LLMs have found, or a piece of software made by the furriest of furrys.

“AI” is kind of like the “No True Scotsman” fallacy. We’ve been through how many cycles of “If a computer can do <this>, it must be AI.” *Make a computer that does <this>.* “That isn’t how I meant. Now, if it can do <this>…” Of course, people have a hard time describing sentience and sapience, so why would it be a surprise that we have a hard time deciding if what we built sufficiently mimics them?
