Sweet. I get picked up by a $35 million vehicle with almost 10,000 horsepower, multiple employees, and a restaurant on board. Usually very punctual and never stuck in traffic.

Ah, lucky. I love the $35 million dollar, 10k horsepower vehicle. Mine didn’t have a food car but train commutes are my favorite commutes. The Providence line was cursed though, always getting stuck or trolled by another train and therefore delayed. For hours sometimes :(

I used to ride that line too.

Any hint of precipitation and you’d be sitting for hours.

And I was a reverse commuter.

I’d occasionally ride my bike back home and drive when it rained.

Sheik’s son studies in Prague. He writes a letter home, saying: “I’m sad to see my favorite professor commute by tram while I’m driven around in a Mercedes.” A week later, a check for €3M comes with the note: “Go buy yourself a tram too.”

    Is that really a car?

My sister insists her SUV which gets to skirt around environmental rules because it’s classified as a light truck is a “car”. That’s pushing it, I think. This bus is a motor vehicle, but it has more wheels than a car, and carries far more passengers than a car. It doesn’t have to follow the same safety regulations that cars do (although it has some regulations of its own).

Well, it’s a carriage, that’s what car means. It’s also self moving which also makes it an automobile which is also colloquially a car.

We can probably take this further, a group of cars in train may also count as a tram if they travel down a tramway or trolleyway. We just need to find a gap in the rail schedule and a few people we trust to drive close together enough to be called “cars in train”…

        No, it isn’t.

No, there are subtle differences between “automobile” and “car”.

My city went fare free during COVID and managed to get a grant to stay that way 5 more years as a pilot. Super cool and feels like living in the future and I take it everywhere if I can.
