Depends on the person. I asked for some because I didn’t have an MP3 player and would burn CDs to listen to while on the bus. I couldn’t buy them myself because I was too far from a store that sold them and couldn’t drive.
Same here. I grew up in a small town and had no access to a store that sold CD-Rs. Getting a cylinder of them as a gift was awesome.

Money works differently for younger people. When you’re 13 or so, the things you desire are a lot more difficult to save up for, especially if your family isn’t that well off
