If I were trans then I would call myself They. No excuse!
It’s funny when this Chinese Malaysian Cheong guy is probably not called Ian Miles on his passport.
Like it’s very common for Chinese people to have an unofficial English name that they’ve chosen themselves.
Preferred nouns for me not for thee
Are they gonna americanize transformers like they did bluey? Cisformers?
Why hasn’t anyone put this guy down yet?
Yeah let me check the “gender” this alien had at “birth”.
“Transformers is teaching children about acceptance.”
MAGA: Burn it all down.
“The president is a literally criminally charged sexual predator with an undeniable and for some reason heavily secretive relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a child sex trafficker.”
MAGA: shrugs
Ian Miles Cheong is also just a grifter. He lives in Malaysia and isn’t even a US citizen.
Acceptance leads to social equality and then where would the Epsteins be? Think of the billionaires!!
Stop giving Nazis attention.
Boomers that are serious fans of the series know Transformers had the entire squad of queer and genders characters, all the way since first comic.
Literally Orion Pax & Megatron were they first gay couple. Until blatantly elections got in the way. Megatron is right, oppressors need to be challenged at every step.
漫画WikiPoint taken; but on the other hand, we can’t ignore them to death, can we? Like you said, oppressors need to be challenged at every step. I think there’s a difference between clapping back at some chud’s “gotcha” moment and allowing them into a space for debate.
The video addresses this directly.
Challenging oppression means going out of our comfort, organizing, and directly acting. The Malaysian is already wanted in Malaysia, Malaysian have that challenged. Now, when is the Twitter Takedown?
If we are to apply the thesis in Transformers & ThoughtSlime, X Corp Headquarters needs some renovations.I believe resistance occurs in many forms. And I’m all for a, let’s say, radical renovation to the X HQ.
Anyway, I don’t appreciate being ordered about. Only my spouse gets to do that, and only when I’m wearing the collar.
Then I hope to see you soon in Bastrop, Texas. We got Decepticons in captivity. Rolling out.
I’m queer, trans, disabled, and poor. You’ll have to enjoy TX for the both of us.
Did you mean to say Gen Xers?
Boomer just means old person now
I reject this premise. I refuse to give in to the morons.
You will just be another person mad that literally is used for emphasis, or can even mean figuratively. Language isn’t static.
Does that mean I can call anyone under 30 an infant?
I think a better analogy is how older people were blaming stuff done by teens on “millennials” well into the late 2010s and even early 2020s when even the youngest millennials were well into their 20s.
Boomer if you’re born in the 20th century, millennial if you’re born around the 21st century. That seems to be how these terms are evolving.
confused late 80s birthday noises
“Kids these days” has been a complaint from older generation for as long as there’s been language.
Well it’s not as though there’s much that can really stop you, so yes.
Spoiler: I already was.
Yes, whether or not that means it becomes a popular facet of actual language is a whole different thing though, and that’s the part your are ignoring, the broad change in how words are used.
As much as I detest this pointless inter-generational conflict and dumb labels, if you start calling Gen X ‘Boomers’ don’t be surprised when you get pushback. If anything, Gen X has the biggest grudge against the baby boomers out of all. Those fuckers were our parents, and they sold us a lie.
Can confirm, am pissed.
Wait, what!? Megatron was gay? I mean, do robots (in disguise) even love?
Today I learned I guess.
It’s actually not even “robots in disguise”, it’s “robots into guys”
It was implied, as they were friends during the Cybertron war. After MoL fell to Orion, their friendship extremely soured.
do robots (in disguise) even love?
This isn’t even a worthwhile question. They are more capable than love than meets the eye.
I’m not a deep fan of Transformers, but I heard of a time when a transformer carried a human fetus in their robo-womb, so anything is possible.
In what continuity were Orion and Megatron any more than friends? In the '84 cartoon Orion has a girlfriend named Ariel who becomes Elita-1 at the same time Orion becomes Prime. He doesn’t seem to have even met Megatron yet. And I’m not sure the original comics even cover Optimus before he was Prime.
There was a comic series were Orion was a pathological serial killer, and that is how Megatron befriend Pax, “enemy of my enemy.” Ariel dies in this one. I am not a fan of the series, so forgive me for not recalling the name of the retcon continuity.
damn the bible is pushing transgender propaganda
Idk the scene but it seems a bit silly.
We need to save the world but can’t do that on an empty stomach. How about a picnic in the park?
Hasn’t seen this one yet. The bots seem a bit undertextured compared to the humans from the stills ive seen. Not a fan of that style.
Honestly it would make more sense if they all went by neutral pronouns. Kinda odd that a species with, as far as I’ve seen, a very skewed gender ratio would have any concept of male/female.
This particular set of organics are not Transformers, they are instead Terrans. So it makes more sense to have more genders and pronouns than what Cybertron offered. But at the least this series was never shy to show genders do not equate sex.
Something a failed Malaysian runaway detests.I guess, it’s just odd to me that they’ve had a binary system despite not being split down the middle. There’s probably ways to justify it though.
Nonono, cybertron had enby characters. It just it makes more sense on Earth to have more genders, pronouns, and expressions than a war ridden Cybertron. From lore, our little planet is certainly more diverse.
Oh, okay. I’ve really only been around for the Unicron trilogy shows, so I wasn’t aware.
But the demographics!
Not sure if this is exactly what you’re talking about, but I remember Bionicle had exactly 1/6th of the population be female because the demographics were projected to be that. Such a weird way to do it given that most people who picked up those toys probably didn’t bother with the story, and there wasn’t really a way to tell they were female without reading up on it.
Wow I never knew this-
Though that 1/6 might also have been just a coincidence initially, in many iterations Bionicle had six Toas and evil bionicles each, which meant one token female between the six.
That’s probably closer to the truth. It would be odd for a bunch of old dudes to think a sixth of the audience for action figures would be girls, but that’s just what I was told.
Yeah, it looks kinda pixar-like to me, and I find that style hit or miss. I haven’t watched the show either
3d TV animation has never really looked right to me. Like, most of the time it’s passable, but it still looks very artificial in many shows.
Same. I’ll always prefer the drawn “cartoon” style personally
I liked the mix they did with Cybertron (the one with the cyber keys. God this show is confusing to talk about.), but that might be nostalgia talking.
I’m not familiar actually! I feel like there’s 87 runs of this show but I am not the smartest (or most up to date) potato
It’s cool. Not for everyone though. Lots of Super Sentai style fights and transformations. I really like that they have other planets with native bots on them.
It’s teeechnically a sequel to the two preceding shows, but it’s essentially a completely separate series. Unicron trilogy was weird.
That sounds neat. I’ll put it on my list c:
It’s more Cocomelon-like. I know because it triggered some trauma from raising my kids.
Enbyformers?
