It’s teeechnically a sequel to the two preceding shows, but it’s essentially a completely separate series. Unicron trilogy was weird.
I liked the mix they did with Cybertron (the one with the cyber keys. God this show is confusing to talk about.), but that might be nostalgia talking.

BTW, if you have trouble looking it up due to the name, the Japanese version was named Galaxy Force. Makes it a little easier to find.
