“Lesbian” is a statement of identity, while “WLW” is merely a description of behavior.
As I understand it, terms like “WLW” are preferred by sex researchers in order to keep the focus of the research on the behavior and try to prevent it from being used to categorize people too much.
Only if you already knew (or assumed) that the person who posted it was female. I, for one, didn’t pay attention to the username or avatar pic, so for me, it was a helpful clarification.
Women loving women
is it a synonymum for leasbian or is there a difference?
I think it’s different. You can be bisexual and be WLW and lesbian means attracted to woman only. But I’m not an expert, just walking by.

wlw is a little more generic, like, a wlw could be lesbian, bisexual* or whatever while lesbian is only wlw
*bisexual, as the name suggest is someone who see more than 1 gender attractive
The construction of the sentence is just getting to me: “wlw…with a gf.”
It feels like the important part is “having a gf,” and “having the gf” implies the “wlw.” So you could have just left off the “wlw.”

Far enough
well as a woman who loves women you could also love other genders, it’s a matter of preference
