On some models you can flash the firmware and install Linux
They’re locked down tightly and really difficult to do so on. One I have would require opening the back and doing stuff under the hood… Seems scary…
It’s not that scary. You typically just unscrew the back panel, unscrew the write protect, the put the back panel on again.
Still hilarious. Literally removing a screw to unfuck it.
I tried on my old Chromebook but then realized it has, like, literally 2GB. Not even big enough to install another OS.
