I might’ve eaten a disgusting amount of Costco sized Doritos during the early pandemic. A giant bag for $3.50. Now those bags are closer to $8 and I can’t remember the last time I bought chips.

Most junk food in the US has gone off the rails in terms of price. Like seriously, don’t spend money on food that has zero nutritional value and is actively harmful to your health. You’ll feel so much better and your bank account will be so much bigger.
I guess I have corporate America to thank for no longer buying chips, candy, or baked goods that I might’ve otherwise splurged on as a treat. Can’t justify it with prices the way they are.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•My Local Public Tennis Court Requires Online RegistrationEnglish
0·1 month agoI remember when I was in high school and on the tennis team, we had practice on a public court. Someone had laid on the net or something because it was all stretched out and saggy. It basically became unusable for playing tennis since it drooped all the way to the ground. I imagine this system would have prevented it.
I would complain about the secondary login with the private company though.
Last time I was at the grocery store, I noticed half the tags were set to “Out of Stock” even though the items were clearly in stock. This effectively meant you had no clue what the price of the item was until you check out.
