Unless you’re playing with your OS, than being vanilla is what you want.

0·5 days agoOk but real advice, people don’t deserve IT supports, if I give clear instructions and they don’t follow them, it’s magically my exclusive fault that their ancient computer had an hardware failure that happens to be completely unrelated to the issue I was tasked with. Please, don’t yell at me. My computer, my issues, your computer, your issues. I had experiences that made me this way, ye’ old tech wizards in your mighty towers too are at risk of meeting assholes.

As slow as it is, it looks actually really cool. If this had modern specs it would be fire. It’s running win10? At least it’s somewhat decent. You can run minecraft 1.12 with optifine if you have enough space. It’s a very specific information that I know.
Do any of you run puppy linux on extra bad hardware?
I am aware of lubuntu and the lightweight installatiion of mint, but I wanted to remind others that it exists.

0·16 days agoI found myself subscribed to amazon and other channels because the skip button is right next to the subscribe button on their ads. And i have relatively no control over the recommendation system, that has been almost completely automated. Cherry on top, i get recommended alpha male crap even without watching any of the videos. The last one was “why japanese men are like this today” - examples provided were men from ww2. My guy, ww2 japanese men brought destruction to the country like no other generation. They weren’t manly, they served as sacrificeable units. If anything, that was one of the biggest generational failures. Something deeply human is the fragility and power of fear. And forcine young men to go through traumatic experiences isn’t the way. It’s not, it’s not fun. You’re not tough you’re something else.
Yeah I care about my machine as much as it has my stuff inside, if it is not mine…
