A normal computer mouse has its cord/tail coming out of their front which is very unrealistic! This mouse by logitech fixed this issue.
Should still work today with a usb to serial adapter.
Deltarune Maus real…
Computer equipment from my childhood being on display as museum pieces/antiques.
This is the bad place.
You may not like it but thats what peak performance looks like
That’s clearly an Alien.
👽
What museum was this in?
It was a fairly small one but jam packed with all sorts of cool old computer stuff. Its not really a museum and just more or less a private collection of an former professor who was left behind in the basement of an old university building and is now doing free guided tours.
It is moving now cause the building will be demolished so its closed in the moment.
It is in hamburg/germany, here is a website about it in german: https://www.inf.uni-hamburg.de/home/about/museum.html
Holy shit. Look at the connector port though! This is pre-usb, and even pre-ps2. This is like some paralell port shit from the 80s!
PS/2 ports didn’t become the norm until well into the 90s.
Right. Which for a paralell port, is why I said 80s.
PS/2 ports are from the 80s. D-subminiature connectors, including those used for Serial, are from the 50s. Parallel, or Centronics Interface, ports have been around since 1970.
It looks like the display sign says 1991.
Edit: searching “Logitech Kidz Mouse” brings up that exact mouse.
I feel triggered by kidz with a z. Reminds me of some “Hacker” movie from that same era.
Looking at the information directly shown in the picture? That’s cheating!
That is a serial mouse. DB-9 connector I believe.
Close, DE-9.
Close, VGA. When you plug it in, you become the Lawnmower Man
Close (don’t stop I’m)
That has some Spy vs. Spy vibes right there.
