At the beginning of January Fox News will “suddenly” remember that the national debt is 40+ trillion dollars and blame the democrats for not fixing it yet.
Relieved that the “blame democrats for everything” tank is full again.
Interestingly, the conservatives over at /r/Conservative agree with this take, but it makes sense if you think about it:
They believe in the Reagan philosophy that Government Bad, so they’re very defeatist and paranoid that all politicians are liars and schemers.
The reason they vote GOP rather than staying home or tossing a coin is generally because their liars and schemers at least hate the people they hate.
This is what I understand Russian political philosophy to be - a very nihilist take: “They’re all corrupt, so why bother tackling corruption?” Not coincidentally, MAGA and Putin have been cozying up a lot lately - their supporters have shared beliefs.
They got their own groypers, ethnocentric neonazis, imperialist chuds and christian nationalists in Russia.
Of course, they think their version of christianity is the right one and their flavour of ethno-nationalism is the correct path forward.
This is SO going to blow up in their faces when the dems (fingers crossed) fix all the shit they broke, starting with the clown they installed in White House.
They should be kept too busy to run their mouths by being forced to defend themselves from criminal charges
