    You’re describing vacation, no? I have 6+ weeks of paid vacation every year. In Europe. Sure, six weeks isn’t the entire summer, but with the vacation days saved from previous years (since I rarely use more than four weeks) I could easily live work free for months. Granted, my income wouldn’t be mysterious…

      This is clearly an American centric meme, where having a week of paid vacation is a luxury and affording a flight to Europe is a fantasy.

    It’s called being on the dole, no? It’s nice for a while, then you need some activity or I would get insane. Been there, done that, can’t complain. Happy to work again but glad the system exists (getting worse though).
