Not any emulator I’m familiar with. It upscaled it like it was a regular photo, not a screenshot of a digital program. Emulators would upscale by even multiples to keep things looking clean & sharp, and even if they were poorly scaled up they would just look blurry but normal.
This upscaling interpolates information and rounds out pixels in a really unnatural way.
Because it’s AI upscaled the very least. That’s not what an NES screenshot looks like.

Are you familiar with scaling shaders? There are several that are designed specifically to round out pixels, like superSAI, XBR4x, or HQ4x.
Personally I think they’re hideous, but some people do use them. It’s not AI.
