BlueSky post by user @hemlock.bsky.social that reads,

I am a transit maximalist. I believe that when a girl hornyposts from the other side of the country; I should be able to get on a maglev and arrive in her city before the prog is out of her system for no more than $40. All policy should bend to serve this goal.

Depends on where the horniness is coming from, if it’s from prog(esterone?) like the op said and it’s tied to hormonal cycles then you maybe got a day to get over there.

which is 2 hours 20 minutes faster than flying from jfk to lax, and the prog has a half life of between 9-16 hours with peak levels between 1-8 hours so in theory you could take the train and still have 4-5 hours to romp

What is unrealistic here is the target price, $40 for maglev to anywhere looks like a steal

Hawaii is a 10/11 hour flight from certain parts of the us.

Alaska is 11/12 hours to Florida, 14/15 to Puerto Rico.

Even if you don’t want to include those, it’s 6/7 hours from Seattle to Miami.

Yukon to Newfoundland is 6/7 hours.

These exclude boarding times and such.

Even if you went with current high speed trains, and exclude continental breaks between land masses, you’re talking about quite a few hours.

Good luck staying horny that long.

What part of “all policy should bend to serve this goal” did you not understand? We’re not done 'til we have $40 hypersonic suborbital flights, and if it takes a greater than Manhattan Project or Apollo level of effort to get there then, damn it, that’s what we’ll have to do!
