US imperialism didn’t start with Trump, it’s bipartisan. The US Empire functions by plundering the global south, solidifying this with its strong overseas millitary presence. Through financial monopoly in the US, industry is shipped overseas to superexploit for superprofits, and any attempts at organizing for better are frustrated by the US millitary.
For countries that don’t toe the line, they are met with embargoes, sanctions, and terror bombings. Libya was destroyed despite being the most prosperous state in the region in its time, Venezuela had its president kidnapped, Cuba is being choked by an embargo, Iran is being terrorized, and many, many more examples.
The US Empire is the single greatest obstacle to human progress in the world.
At least we can make fun of our head of state no matter who is in charge, other countries not so much.
