I have a dream that one day, all apartments will rise up, and together live out the true meaning of their creed: ‘Together we gay, united we trans!’ — Martha Lucy Queen Jr.

og 196 team (on lemmy i mean, the og og is of course r/196) wanted to move the community to lemmy.world, and shut down !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone. a lot of people did not like this, so this community was formed in response. after that, the og 196 realized their mistake and reopened their community. so now we have two 196s on LBZ, on top of the one on .world which is much less active (but still alive)
But the og og 196 is r/195. It has a long history of rebooting itself every few years. It will happen again.
I see. Thanks for the lesson in apartment lore! :)
