What if you naturally suck at dancing?
Mick Jagger “sucks” at dancing. Sucks as in, compared to Bob Fosse or Gene Kelly he looks like an excited wild turkey. But he more than makes up for it by owning it.
He was also rock star when he was doing that and it was during the 80’s when being a goofy dancer was just the norm TBH.
The cultural cynicism of the 90’s has stained being “cringe” to this day. And the internet and cameras in everyone’s pocket maximize the sense of neurotic insecurity.
This is less an issue of genders and more an issue of just being seen as too earnestly enthusiastic or revealing your physical inferiority publicly.
I don’t like sports much either though. Except [redacted so my friends can’t potentially ID me on Lemmy]. Not a lot of fem’s play that though.
