Lol this is so true 😂
Men’s shampoo (or any other shower product) sucks ass. It’s why I started using women’s everything, back at 16, waay before even starting HRT.
Still cis tho :3

And if you read the ingredients, they’re the very same things, just with different synthetic color and aroma. Oh, and different prices, of course.

I saw a photo of a shampoo bottle from the US once. Apparently the shampoo was tactical. I have been trying to figure out what that means.

huh, different strokes for different folks i guess. Women’s hygiene stuff is fine, but I don’t really like how weak it is. My current lime/hibiscus flower or whatever flavored shower gel might smell nice, but it wears off within like an hour and I smell sweaty and gross again. But whenever I steal my husband’s generic ⚡blue⚡ shower gel it lasts an entire day (even if I feel like a middle school boy’s locker room). Same with deodorant. My husband got me my own Old Spice stick because I kept stealing his.

I had a good laugh when I saw “Dude Wipes” is a product. That product touches my ass so I need some firm affirmation that wiping my butt won’t make me gay, I guess?

That brand also makes “Little Dude Wipes,” so big beefy manly men can teach their boys how to be big strong manly beefy hunky men, too, when wiping their shitty ass. They’re also double the price of standard store brand baby wipes for less wipes per package.

It’s sad, but some people (men) actually think that wiping their own ass will make them gay. And so they just don’t. They don’t wipe their ass, don’t wash it in the shower. “Just running water over it is enough, scrubbing would make me gay”. I’ve never quite understood that. Toxic masculinity is just the worst…

I’m chronically online and yes, this is far more common than one might think, and especially in the “Manosphere”.

I’ve read everything ranging from dudes arguing that touching your butt makes you gay to women complaining about dudes not wiping. Yuck.

Ewww. Should someone tell them that using the same logic means that they aren’t washing other body parts, like their weiners. I would call it something more masculine but weiner sounds more appropriate in this case.

Oh man I love this so much BC its true.

Feminine products are amazing, smell GREAT, and thw packaging is visually more pleasing to look at.

Men’s stuff is just… Bland. Smells like chemicals or generic “nature” scents. And ths packing is just monochromatic n bORING.

The only thing that bothers me about fem products is the girl tax/pink tax. Shaving products come to mind.

But otherwise fem products are great~~

To each this own I love the pine mixed with boar guts smell. It makes you feel like you’ve just been to a sauna in the alps then pumped iron till your packs are full or climbed a Christmas tree in the freezing snow then ate some ribs next to a warm fire.

I only buy womens shampoos and conditioner, because after a hiatus i have been growing out my hair again (already below the shoulders), and womens hair care products are in my experience a lot more viable for taking care of long hair. While they were short, i did not give much of a fuck.

I do like some male-branded shower gels tho, especially the ones with an ice effect - it just feels really nice on the skin for me, and they smell fine.

Regarding shaving i have gone back to the roots. I did get myself a safety razor, because these multiblade things were destroying my skin and it is a lot cheaper too. Only took a few shavings (and about 5ml of blood lol) to get the hang of it, similar to learning how to shave in the first place. Women, if my face is finally happy after years of torture, then these things are probably fine for you too, even when there’s no marketing for it at all!

YES all this exactly! My hair is longer than what most “men” shmpoo is cut out for, and ive been usinf femm shampoo for ages (thanks poverty and growing up with 3 sisters) so it’s a no-brainer for me.

Except I can’t tolerate the mentol-enhanced shower gels. They don’t feel good at all on my skin, but rather a burning sensation.

I agree with this so freaking much!
Feminine products are totally the best! The great smell, the pretty packaging…and fuck it, even the liquids themselves are pretty most of the time 😆
Pink tax is a biiiitch tho. And yeah, especially with shaving products. “Women’s razors” (at least, the ones I use) are a dollar more expensive, along with “women’s shaving cream” (literally what?) is way more expensive than “men’s shaving cream”? This is so dumb. We live in a patriarchyyyy 😭😭😭

Fem products are the bestest 🩷
Legit don’t know why anyone would pick anything else 😂

Cishet man for context. I pick manic panic shampoo and conditioner for my hair and the big cheap store vanilla gel for the body.

It’s not gendered. Both gendered versions of the products cost like 3 times more.

Yeah, cishet dude with long hair, I’ve been using women’s hair products for decades. They’re straight up just better in 99% of cases.

I am kind of partial to the male-coded body washes though, I do like wood scents. I usually use a nice sandalwood gel. But for hair stuff yeah basically all men’s products are garbage. You can sort of get away with it if you keep your hair chopped short but anything approaching shoulder length or longer, just save yourself the hassle and go to the women’s aisle.

Shampoo for the hair, conditioner because long hair, shower gel for the body. Seriously wondering what people you’ve met in life.

conditioner because long hair, shower gel for the body

              Uuuuuh, hello.
I don’t know how to take care of long hair. I never used conditioner, just whatever says “shampoo” sorted by price from lowest (per amount, not bottle). I wish I could just get rid of it instead, but I have large psoriasis patch at the back of my head and neck, and the hair hides it. The only purpose, otherwise I’d rather go bald.
As for shower gel, I can’t manage to wash it off with hard water, so I use bar soap. I also used to use bar soap for scalp and hair, but I figured it made the psoriasis worse.

If you have any sort of knotting in your hair, conditioner softens it so you can get it out without ripping out chunks of hair.
