Oh, I don’t know about that… I’d say that feudalist peasants would be rather terrified of our thoroughly unstable liberal boom-and-bust cycles.
And you conveniently forget that feudal peoples (and non-feudal peoples) all over the world had to be violently brutalised into accepting liberal economic realities… so there’s that.
Really, Clyde? Is the 300-hundred (and counting) years of mass-slaughter, mass-rape and mass-torture perpetrated by the west on the rest of the world “alt-history” to you now?
Honestly, I mostly see capitalism as a religion. It provides a narrative about the meaning of life. It provides rules that it’s followers should adhere to. It provides goals, restrictions, and social orders. It defines it’s own ethics, worldviews, texts, doctrines, and priorities.
That’s capitalism, Clyde - not religion. Unstick your head out of your arrse and stop confusing your own farts for reality, okay?
Hey clod, religion pre-dates capitalism by thousands of years, but go on telling me how my head is in my ass.

No surprises, I guess.

Fair enough, I guess.
