It was nice to have something to replace the mammoth-drawn sleds we all used as the ice age receded, but they really came into their own when we invented fire.
We called them “Hot Wheels” and played a game where we’d roll a Hot Wheel down a hill and try to race it to the bottom without getting crushed/burned. Wherever the Hot Wheel landed was the campsite for the night, where we tended the wounds from playing Hot Wheels. It was a simpler time.
awwww ~ ~ ~ well then tell me dear dino baby, how was it when the wheel was invented, hm?

I’d imagine that’s a topic of historical debate
technically it’s getting reinvented all the time
