    Electric shifting has pretty much 0 maintenance these days, there are no adjustments on the electric derailleurs that bolt on to the frame. Charging it once a month is mildly annoying though and I wish they put bigger density batteries in.

      Either that, or make it easier to just hook up whenever I park my bike, or some kind of alarm when it’s under 20% or something. Because what happens is that I grab my bike, leave home, shift three times, and then when i’m too far out, find that it’s actually empty.

      My regular city bike has manual hub gears, which I have maintained once in 25 years, and they’re fine.
