i did this and slept in like 30 minutes. usually takes 3 hours. wowie, what a lifehack.

having something to hug onto or to just have besides you is surprisingly nice. when you pull back, blanket 1 moves your direction. when you lean in, you feel that movement from behind.
something something deep pressure maybe. it’s not that deep. i have weighted blankies but they are too exhausting to deal with and… they are okay but i usually remove them at somepoint.
but this!!! this is it, maybe. who knows.
i wish you a wonderful day and sweet dreams (for later… or now)

I got dogs
Can a replace blankie 1 with a big stuffy?
Ingredients: you, me, 1 blanket 🥺
hmmmm which one?
i read that to the tone of “You, me, gas station”
But I can rue
I don’t have two blankets.
Tissue paper or old gazettes?
I suppose that might work…
I’ve been thinking about sleeping in running weights.
Alternatively, replace blanket #1 with a Blåhaj or other similarly sized plushy.
Confirmed I have a shark plushy with a fixed grin.

I would die from overhearing sadly. Even with an AC window unit full blast or dead of winter, it’s…too snuggly ;_;
I am an “always hot” kind of person, and I have similar reservations about this technique.
I sleep under a flat sheet, usually with a leg poking out. I have a second, cotton blanket that I can layer on top of my torso if the flat sheet isn’t enough, but to cover my entire body with the cotton blanket would be too hot most nights. Unless it’s the dead of winter or I have a fever, I need to be able to free a leg out from under the blankets at any given time. Being wrapped up like in this image would make falling/staying asleep even harder.
It’s also why I don’t make my bed. Tucking the blanket under the sides of the bed just means having to undo it all when it’s time to sleep. Besides, it doesn’t make much sense to “make a bed” when you don’t use a comforter.
hmm that is really odd. i wrapped myself if polyester blankies last time, it was approx 20°C and it was perfectly fine. mayybe try cotton covers?.. i usually freeze real quick with just covers.
Doctor says I got the night sweats, so this happens even if I’m stark nekkid with just a thin sheet! Alas.
Even more blanket would just mean I’d be awake in 30 minutes from heat death rather than…the normal 3 hours of sleep at a time!
Yeah, hugging something soft is surprisingly nice when sleeping :3
Bodypillows are a thing, I can recommend. You can get them even from Ikea, it is not just weaboo stuff.
I do already use a body pillow for hugging it while sleeping. Also, in what way are body pillows related to weaboo stuff?
Oh, it is a classic otaku thing. Having anime girl (etc.) covers for the pillows, so you can pretend you are hugging them. There is always someone, who does not know bodypillows from any other context, so that was a sort of disclaimer, in case of that.
yasss its really nice. and when you turn so ur lying on ur back, the blankie is ontop of you and its kiiinda like a weight type thing…
its really nice. I had no idea.
Buckwheat pillow is really nice.
it gets soooooooo warm tho
hmm yes it gets warm buuuut not at the ideal eeping temp of 18°C. at least if you dont use puffy blankies.
ideal sleeping temperature is 30°C while defending yourself from mosquitoes /j
i have my windows open when it’s 15 degrees outside, with only an empty cover on, and still get too hot :/
I’m the same way. Anything down to about 4c and I’m just in bed, naked, covered with only a thin sheet, fan pointed at me.
Sadly, I live in a place where 26-27 is a common temperature in autumn and spring, and it only gets down to 15c in the winter for the most part :(
Chuck a valium or zanex
I store my clean clothes on the bed rather than folding my laundry and putting it away for exactly this reason (it definitely has nothing to do with being lazy)
