About once every couple years someone downloads the rare stuff I have. It’s not like some secretive movie or anything, mainly just really hard to find drumming videos or the 39 seasons of cops I downloaded that don’t exist in any physical media format.
I don’t even like cops anymore, but I love being the only seeder. Makes me feel good to help other people out.
Just leave it in the background and know that number trends up.
Also, shows for infants are either on trackers I don’t have access to or just thoroughly under-provided through torrents.

Insane how Miyazaki is universally loved and yet so few even know about that show. It’s like people loving David Lynch’s films without ever having heard of Twin Peaks.

Maybe you’re still seeding a torrent that’s no longer as popular.
The thing with piracy is there are always so many duplicates. For every piece of media, there may be a hundred different torrents for it with varying popularity. People might be obtaining Future Boy Conan from a torrent different from the one you’re seeding.

I wanted to watch Well-Founded Fear (2000) on immigration in the US. As far as I can tell, you can only get it by purchase on Vimeo. $12 to rent. $150 to buy. It’s too obscure to have a torrent.
Does it? I just leave it alone. About once a year I take inventory and nuke all the stuff that obviously does not need seeders.

And they take up almost no space, so that makes it even more annoying. I make sure to keep seeding as much as possible.
