I’m sure there are perfectly valid reasons for them to take full control of our discord accounts and this won’t be abused.

    Can you do all of those on a battle net account? I would, in good faith, presume the plan is for the battle net app to act as a pseudo discord app and let you control everything on your discord account through it.

    PS: I searched very hard for that good faith.

    Edit: Know what? Discord ain’t exactly known for its ethical behaviour, so fuck em.

      Yeah, to me that sounds like what’s going on. They’re trying to implement a Discord client within their game, and to really do that successfully, it needs permissions to do all the Discord things.

      The intent is almost strictly for WoW, discord is advertising that it’s to allow for merging of WoW clan chat and discord messages, I would assume via the discord client which is why it asks for so many intents. Screw that regardless though.
