Well the billionaires own the media. Left wing media won’t even let their journalists be activists because this would “conflict with objectivity.” Meanwhile, right-wing media just parrot narratives (favorable to privatization / big business) and call every sensible progressive policy “woke”.

Liberal doesn’t mean left wing, it means pro-capitalist, anti-communist. The US tolerates no public leftist presence.

from what my sibling who did poli sci taught me, a lot of those stances are logical conclusions of the explicit property rights stances (liberal theory promotes personal, private and public property, whereas communism (if i understand it correctly and let me be clear i don’t) does away with private property. i’m not well read enough on the subject to say specifically where or how).

we really need different word in english for [member of the communist party] and [believer in/promoter of communism].

For an even better analysis than you could ever get in a university class, I highly recommend reading Domenico Losurdo - Liberalism, a counter-history for a more detailed history of what liberalism is. Even from its very foundations and founding authors, it was white supremacist, pro-slavery, anti-worker, pro-colonialism, pro-workhouse and prison, etc.

      Left wing… media? What’s that?

I’m trying to list all of the well-known news organizations that have a large reach, aren’t owned by a large corporation, and have large private endowment or some other form of complete financial security not reliant on the government or any of those large corporations.

I’m sure they’re probably some in the world. Maybe. But I can’t really think of any in the US.

Can anyone help me out here?
