I wouldn’t mind a remaster that updated to a more halo 2 or 3 design and did another pass on the levels. The game itself is pretty dated, anything that doesn’t at least tweak things a little doesn’t seem appealing.
Halo 2, and to a lesser extent 3, were backwards steps in terms of gameplay.
I mean, in my opinion. Thankfully my opinion doesn’t really need to matter here since there’s already the original and the remaster that preserved the mechanics faithfully, so I guess if someone wanted to do an actual remake with tweaked gameplay, I’d still be fine.

Fuck M$, but to be fair, that remake is older than halo was when it came out in 2010.
Halo Anniversary was made back when Moore’s Law was still a thing. There’s been less technical improvement in the last 16 years than there were in those 10 years.
Even worse, if the remaster uses Unreal Engine 5 it will probably look like crap compared to the last one.
I just played the remaster of Talos Principle and it looks so much worse it so many ways. I loathe UE5 with a passion.
“what about a Cortana ‘Sam Altman’ look-a-like hmm?”
