Trying games out is absolutely a thing. I’ve bought so many indie games because I tried them out and liked them, that I wouldn’t have taken a chance on.

      • funny thing, that’s how I ended up buying Minecraft many moons ago. this was probably several months or so after Minecraft first started going viral, and from the screenshots I had seen it looked stupid. I downloaded a torrent to see what all these weirdos were playing so that I could make fun of them.

I don’t know how many hours I’ve put into Minecraft in the decade or so since, but it’s definitely been more than any other game I’ve ever played.

Just get you some corporate games on the high seas?

Pirating Ubislop and EA and Crapcom and various other evil corported plagues on gaming is never a bad thing.

        Or wait for a sale.

I’ve been replacing my Steam catalog on GOG and most games have been under $5 in sales. The last game I paid more than $4.99 for was Baldur’s Gate 3, when it came out.

Exchange rates are valid, though. Those can be absolutely ridiculous.
