Very nice. I love Cinnamon. I use the Eleganse theme, I’m a suckered for transparency.

Hell yeah, I don’t see a lot of people rocking Debian but I like it. I’m more of a KDE Plasma guy myself but cinnamon is also great

Ah yes, exactly what Lemmy needs at this point: fewer posts and fractured communities, that’ll certainly help make the platform better in its infancy.

Right? I love seeing how people rice their DE. However, I would also love a community dedicated to it. We could post some tips or tricks to accomplish certain looks.

I love seeing that stuff too! I tried it a long time ago on Windows with Rainmeter. Got one looking like Persona theming and another with Calvin and Hobbes. May try to get back into it now that I’m on Linux.

Get a debian logo instead of Cinnamon’s default logo.

Quite similar to my setup, except mine is based on KDE (yours seems to be Cinnamon), and I have a slightly wider vertical bar with a little more spacing between elements.

    Good job!

oh, thanks random internet stranger, have a point!

I did do a cursory search for firewatch wallpapers too, but the darkmode term seems to be the key here. Anyhoo, thanks!

edit: though, the site has it in fairly low res, all the download options are super compressed and just (badly) upscaled. But gonna look around if I can find a better version

it’s cinnamon, linux mint’s gnome fork

the mountain logo in top left is the cinnamon logo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
