Wow, the PO Box analogy is the best, most simple way I’ve ever seen anyone explain 2FA. Thanks, I’m stealing that for when I need to explain it to my tech-illiterate family members for the umpteen millionth time :')

Nope. Plenty of places in the midwest only carry unsweet and “flavored”, not regular sweet tea. The flavor is usually extra sweet fruit flavored syrup like raspberry or peach.
“Walking and mobility aid devices only”, perhaps?
Order online! TenRen Teas has the best tea, imo, while Adagio has mid to high quality at a decent price and a wide variety of types and flavors.
This is cursed
how to delete someone else’s lemmy post
It’s a (very fluffy) trap
That’s a lot of words to say “I don’t actually understand how technology works”.
They’re not being made fun of for being white cishet men. They’re being made fun of for being privileged and whinging about other people now receiving the rights to which they felt they alone were entitled. Being privileged is not something you are born with, it is something granted to you by an unjust society. Crying about others being granted rights as if it will affect them negatively is a choice they are making. This is not about them being cishet white dudes. It is about them choosing to resist progress because it might mean they don’t get treated like the super special kiddies our society has always treated them as.
That you are equating “haha these privileged people are overreacting to minorities no longer having boots on their necks” with “boo hoo, you’re saying all white cishet dudes are bad” tells me all I need to know. I won’t be able to change your mind, so have fun feeling persecuted 💜
You know, I really, really think you’re reading something into this that isn’t there. What, exactly, strikes you as hate here? What in this meme is “demonizing language”? It’s a joke pointing out that privileged people tend to panic and lash out when the people who have historically had fewer privileges than them start receiving help to level the playing field, as if life is some kind of zero-sum game and others being treated better suddenly means they’ll get treated worse. This is a well-recognized truth that applies broadly across privileged populations and has been remarked upon by many people through the years of building civil liberties for minorities of all stripes, and this meme is just poking a bit of fun at it. No one thinks that literally every single cishet white dude is panicking that they’ll be up against the wall if minorities ask to be treated better. I’m really confused at your apparently visceral reaction against this so-called “hate”.
Oh, it’s very easy to understand. They’re worried their tax dollars might help someone who “doesn’t deserve it”, so they’d rather not help anyone.
L O fucking L
Pointing out their whinging is hardly hate. Way to be a perfect example of the post, whether you’re a white dude or not.
Our way of surviving furniture assembly is for him to Go Away And Let Me Do It, because I can follow directions and he just tries to slap things together without looking xD
I love my husband! Knowing when to just let the other person get on with shit is a pretty good litmus test, I agree, lol.
As a demifluid bisexual, can confirm. It’s a lot of fun.
You know, when I’m not being relentlessly harassed just for existing 🤷🏻♀️
Lol that’s fair, but since those words in that combination barely even make sense to me I tried to dumb it down more and ended up being wrong 😂
I’m the idiot who searches stack for code and copies and pastes it into the project so no one should listen to me anyway.
It’s a markup language. In the simplest explanation, a programming language describes a process (what does the thing do) while a markup language describes a structure (how is the thing supposed to be displayed). There’s more to it than that, but someone else can get into deeper if they want, it’s beyond me lol
did not actually file copyrights on their art with the U.S. Copyright Office.
The way they’ve worded this isn’t really a sufficient explanation of how this works. An artist is automatically granted copyright upon the creation of a work, so it’s not that they don’t have the right to protect their work. It’s just that, without registration, you cannot file a lawsuit to protect your work.
Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work.

However, if it’s within 5 years of initial publication, they can still be granted a formal registered copyright and bring the complaint again.
It’s more trying to indicate the tongue placement - an N sounds different depending on whether you place it at the front of the tongue or back of the tongue. Back of the tongue is much more nasal, which is frequently associated with French accents, and could sound almost like an “ng” sound to someone less familiar with nasal pronunciations.
The joke probably would’ve been clearer had you mentioned Vaporeon 😏
Oh, don’t worry, that’s only in urban schools.
(hint: urban is a dogwhistle for Black)
