Your not wrong but there is always someone out there that just gets you, difficult to find but they exist.
Not sure on software but you can buy hdmi mirror / splitter hardware on Amazon for like $30 bucks

Fun fact: slow loris was also the name for a really cool type of denial of service attack that would eat up the entire connection pool for a linux web server.
