  • Thanks, that’s very useful, I noticed that the the donations are a in a low amount compared to the rest of the income, but it is more stable, if possible could you share your experience with the ko-fi platform and donations? Do you think it is an visibility problem, since it’s hard to break from dev sphere to mainstream?

  • I prefer AUR packages, but it depends on how many AUR dependencies it uses and how well maintained and used by others it is, I rely mainly on the official repo and try to use AUR and others in a complementary way, I also don’t run any AppImages, just the ones from open-source applications and that I trust minimally.

Why do you consider AppImages as last resort?

I can understand that in a distro the main repo need to be prioritized to avoid bloat of repetitive dependencies that could happen with a lot of AppImages.

I can’t understand why so many people are opposed to it as an supportive role from a practical and complementary perspective.

  • Does the cable is okay? It could be a bad usb port or cable, also it’s better to use usb 2.0 for this kind of thing.

You can use adb with the phone turned on and unlocked with developer and debug mode enabled in configuration or you can use it in the recovery screen if the current recovery image allow it, fastboot only works in fastboot mode.

Don’t worry about bricking if your phone is detected in the computer and accept meaningful commands in adb or fastboot, even if the system loops or the screen is black or off, the system do not starting could just mean you missed something or made some mistake, in the worse case scenario.

If you have no idea what happened just try to go back to stock rom(the main system) and try to install /e/ os again.

About the change in windows working one night and not over morning could be windows updates or drivers being installed automatically by your system and overriding something that was working.
