I finally grew out of project cars. I realised I love the idea of them, I dont actually want to do the work anymore, paying others to do it is ludicrously expensive, doing it yourself is merely expensive.
I bought a daily thats old enough to be cheap, fast enough to be fun and cool enough I dont feel like I got boring and I’m just maintaining it and making little improvements when its cost effective.
no, more like oprah saying you get one ,you get one, everyone gets one.
You can have as many projects as possible, but never neglect the daily!
Fun fact: my daily used to be a project, but it’s been so reliable for the last few months that the other day was when I started looking into getting a new project. Then it started throwing codes left and right.
It’s like it knew lol
A new car? In this economy?
a car that people cant afford, its well known she knows this and gave it to people that cant afford the insurance, maintenance of the new car.
New to me, the one I’m currently looking at (First gen Hyundai Excel) has been sitting in one of my neighbors yard for 17 years. (They’ve got a few but there’s only one I’m interested in that they have)
The other one I’m looking at (a 1979 Saab 900 hatchback) has been sitting in a different neighbors yard since 2001.
Basically a project to restore a car to a drivable state to prevent another new car from hitting the road or an old but fixable car from becoming a cube.
The older i get, the more i yearn for a saab.
