… ‘Building Equity’ and ‘Investment’ are basically the same thing, twice.

Also, given the ongoing housing market collapse in most of the US: lol.

If you rented the median apartment for the last 15 years, instead of paying for a median home mortgage, and put the difference, the savings, into say the stock market?

Your investment would be doing better, on average.

Also oops your homeowners insurance went up by 50% in a year, now your escrow is underfunded, turns out you now live in a flood/fire/hurricane zone, yay climate change!

Yes, very much stability and freedom to personalize in your HOA, which has basically a 90% chance of being a completely corrupt embezzlement/fraud scheme.

Oh and don’t forget that you have to pay for all maintenance, your insurance will do its damndest to pay for nothing, and maybe your home built in the last 10 years is just a pile of garbage that you didn’t get an independent inspector to check out for flaws before you bought it.

… but yeah its not good to pour oil down your drain, thankfully the ability to have some mason jars or something to pour it into is not exclusive to homeowners.

Used cooking oils are pretty valuable and draining away them is a waste (and would cause more problems later on for other people). I like to dilute them in diesel and use it as fuel.

Here in Malaysia we have people buy back cooking oil so they can turn it into biodiesel. You’ll be literally pouring money down the drain, so you can spend more money unclogging it later on.

If you, like me, are a homeowner that use to pour your old cooking oil down the drain like an idiot, you might want to consider dumping it into a lined “home depot” bucket of kitty litter. The you just pull out the bag, tie it, and put it in the trash.

          well we got weed first.
but yeah, no flaming arrows is a bummer… makes sense with all the wild fires.
Ninja throwing stars being banned is some fucking bullshit though.
and no ferrets just because a couple people taught them how to steal jewels.
and i can only have a fixed blade knife if it’s completely open carry suspended from my waist, but a folding knife is fine (brand new law).
i don’t want to tuck my jacket into my bowie knife handle…
and no fixed blade knives in parks but like, how many people are killed with fixed blades vs folding? like .001%?

Seems risky, as the landlord might be slow to fix it and you have to deal with stopped up pipes in the meantime. Maybe just dig a hole on the property and dump it in.

If it’s good enough for motor oil, it’s good enough for vegetable oil.

/s…it’s not good for motor oil. Well, it’s not good for the environment. Motor oil couldn’t care less.
