Cannonical is definitely not dodging the “enshittified part of the Linux Ecosystem” allegations.
Technically, Ubuntu is
behind the curvenot at the forefront on this. Universal Blue already includes quite a bit of AI stuff and Fedora has had drafted plans for a while.Hah yeah I spoke to Jon about this stuff at KubeCon. I said something like “Try to keep up!” :)
Lots of common tooling in this space though and getting more attention to open models can only help.
I wrote off ubuntu for good 13 years ago when they let amazon advertise in the OS.
Yeah at this point I don’t even consider them an option. They’ve been shit for ages.
