Lemmy is politically extremely left leaning, so prepare to get downvoted for just having center opinions, let alone conservative ones. But unlike Reddit, downvotes (and upvotes for that matter) don’t mean shit.
I feel like the average Lemmy user is a progressive first and foremost. And then we do have certain instances that harbor far-left people and they can get really loud.
But you know what’s interesting? One of the reasons I left Facebook, a solid few years ago, was I was getting the worst kind of far-left propaganda in my timeline. It was only here and there, but one pro-USSR meme is one too many. I always remember that anytime I’m wrestling a tankie on here.
Rejecting politics is a reaction to them, and thus a political choice. There’s no such thing as being apolitical as long as you exist with society and play a role within it.

As long as you don’t voice your support for certain technology run by “fascists” (someone will come tell you you’re an ignorant, doesn’t matter
