Even if you value your life at just $1, I doubt your odds are better than 500m:1

But I see that you get to choose a prison with food, and you just get to stay in your prison. Is there internet? What kind of PC?

Wait for it to sleep find some of it’s shit slather it on, sneak up on it and hope I can cripple it by cutting through a tendon. Run like hell, repeat on other leg when it calms down. Hope it can’t eat and dies before time runs out. Not sure I risk getting near it’s head crippled or not.

I don’t know if I could cripple it, but for $500mil I’d give my strategy a shot.

Do you know where those are? Cause I sure as shit don’t. Maybe give it some more stabby stabs with shit knife if it’s in a bad spot. But 💯 on using a shit knife.

How are they getting the T-Rex? The answer makes a difference since if they are using a time machine to bring one from the past just do nothing and wait for a few million years of bacterial and viral evolution to take it down.

When it falls sound asleep I stab it in a foot or it’s neck or it’s eye.

I think I eventually do enough damage after it’s hobbled so it bleeds out.

Humans used to hunt mammoths, and these fuckers don’t even have a thick layer of fur armor. We used to hunt mammoths, because we were so fucking good at it we killed every last one of them.

I’m using my knife and making an atlatl, some spears smeared in shit, and I’m going hunting. Every time this bastard goes to sleep, he’s getting a spear with a side of gangrene lodged in him. Fucker’s missed out on 60 million years of techtree development, and has no reply to ranged strikes.

A band of hunters was needed to take a mammoth down. Not a single person. And frequently they used traps to immobilize the animal before killing it from some distance with spears and stones.

I have a month, a place to avoid retaliation, the target can’t run away or effectively hide, and no creature in its entire evolutionary history has ever seen a ranged attack before. Each time I hit it, it weakens snd slows as it bleeds, expends energy, and fights infection.

I like my odds with the sleepytime atlatl poo-spear better than being 1 of 20 guys trying to peel a mammoth off from a herd in random terrain.

It’s always funny when people overestimate their own ability to fight an animal.

Yeah bro i could fight a gorilla.

I don’t think i could, honestly, but spears and shit from the hut would be my best guess. Or wait until it sleeps and ram it through the eye with full force and run like a motherfucker. In movies they often spear big animals and they live for a long time and cause havoc, i would assume a spear through the brain isn’t good no matter the size.

There’s a fossil of a t-rex that’s believed to have been very old when it died (like, 28ish). It had evidence of injuries all over it, including having been stabbed through the back of the skull and into the brain by another T-rex’s tooth (the scar was old and healed, so it survived being bitten in the brain)

I wouldn’t bet on anything but a long drawn out campaign against it

The real problem is we dont know what a live T-Rex looks like. It could have fur or feathers, it could have wings or wild talons on its hands. What are the odds their arms are as useless as we think they are for real?

I don’t care if is has feathers, or long grabby arms, I’m waiting for it to fall asleep, and chucking a spear at it, and running, every single time until it dies of bloodloss, gangrene, or exhaustion.

Does the T Rex even understand what I did? Ranged attacks didn’t exist for 65 million years after it went extinct, does something that evolved to hunt slow, armored herbivores have any response to ranged hit and runs? The many species of megafauna humans hunted to extinction before the invention of writing suggests no.

Well you’d only have a knife based on the post, so you’d have to throw it and retrieve it, and it wouldnt stay sharp forever. These are all issues with a spear too. I’m sure a T-Rex could out run you as well. Best bet might be to conserve energy and hope the dinosaur starves first.

It all depends on this “hut”. Is it made of straw, wood, or bricks?

If that t-rex isn’t getting fed, I’m not sure even bricks would keep it out, though. It ain’t no wolf.

If it’s indestructible straw then you could set it on fire and it would burn perpetually, you could do some real damage to the t-rex with that. Same thing if it’s made from indestructible bricks or indestructible wood.

I don’t think indestructible straw could burn-- fire is sutained by a reaction that destroys its fuel, if the fuel cannot be destroyed it cannot produce the heat fire requires to stay alive.

Do not leave the hut. Eat like an animal and throw your shit from the hut at the T-Rex’s face. Hopefully it will get sick and perish on it’s own from explosive T-Rex diarrhea.

It doesn’t say the T-Rex has unlimited food either. Wait until day 29 when it’s starving and can hardly move anymore.

Nile crocodiles eat about once a week on average and can eat twice a year and survive. I wouldn’t count on a t-rex expiring from hunger in a month. Maybe from all the new germs, if it was time-traveled in, but not starvation.

I think dinosaurs are more closely related to birds than present day reptiles. T-Rex in particular were warm blooded I believe.

If more similar to a chicken than a crocodile they wouldn’t go too long without food.

I would wait and hide, allowing the T-Rex to tire itself out. Then one night, when the T-Rex was especially tired and soundly asleep, I would carefully climb into the T-Rex’s cloaca. There I would stay for the rest of the month.

That’s it, you can keep the 500 million. I’ve already won.
