From my point of view, you encountered a right wing channel doing a small PSYOP. Citing the book from Artemov:

If I may add, this applies very well to fascists/rightoids/imperialists doing propaganda. Unless you correct my impression, they triggered that fear of a lockdown. With that fear, one response is to spread the fallacious news and to neutralize reason.
