The sauces from earlier in the day and corporate guac and taquitos.
I really need to make a hundred or two and put them in the freezer. Unfortunately while they are individually cheap they are expensive to bulk build.
Cost per person $4.09
I too want to bulk make these and freeze them. The chest freezer arrives Monday so I gotta plan.
I remembered I had a Walmart gift card from donating blood. I picked up the supplies yesterday and will make them on Friday.
These are flautas.
What’s the difference, to you, between a flauta and a taquito?
In my mind: floutas are flour tortillas and have meat, cheese, sometimes some additional stuffs - taquitos are corn tortillas and just seasoned meat.
(I’m probably wrong)
Flautas are standard size fried rolled tortillas with a filling and taquitos are smaller in length. They’re effectively the same
Then these are taquitos.

What’s a taquito really supposed to be, then? Because this is what I know as a taquito.

I’ve never been a fan of flautas. I love the idea of them being bigger but the flour tortillas just don’t offer that satisfying crunch of corn tortillas. But I know others love them.

Every time I encounter them they are flour. Both in San Diego (rarely ever seen) and VA, NC and SC (occasionally seen, they are flour. I think I found one place that made their own corn tortillas and offered that as an option.
