          A trans person is someone whose gender identity differs from the one they were assigned at birth. A non-binary person is someone with a gender identity that falls outside of just ‘man’ or ‘woman’. So enbies are trans, but not all trans people are enbies.

          And enbies and binary trans people tend to have a lot of similar experiences with transitioning.

      disclaimer: not a historian, have looked into this a bit a while ago but might be wildly off base here

      not in the definition that we use today afaik, but they also didn’t have the same concepts of gender. there are multiple mentions of half men/half women, but those are mostly intersex people(like hermauhrodites for example). there’s also a lot of GNC people, but it’s hard to tell whether anyone was enby or if it made sense in the social context to be enby.
