Had a situation this arvo when I had to pair program with someone and I forgot to bring my mouse to work. Having to run startx
and then start vscode is a bit jarring and a line-of-thought breaker for me.

Not OP but VSCode has a plugin called Live Sharing that allows remote collaboration on a workspace, with independent cursors, navigation, files opened, etc. It’s fantastic, honestly, and it’s one of the few things that’ll prompt me to open vsc over emacs when the need arises. I believe OP is asking whether there is an emacs package allowing interop with it so his pair can use vsc and her can continue to work in emacs.
