Quit posting this nonsense under different accounts.

Chav is NOT a derogatory term for working class folks.

Bogans are the same as chavs in that they’re not rich.

There is an outlier of a few thousand C.U.B. (Cashed-Up Bogans) who do FIFO work at the mines and make more than like 90% of the country.

Completely agree. OP is a troll. They pop up every so often claiming this nonsense. Chav is not, and never has been, a slur, towards working class people or otherwise.

Source - I’m a working class man from a working class area in the UK and in my mid 40s. I was in my teens when chav became a thing, and it only ever applied to a certain subset of people.

In case any non-British are reading this, ‘chav’ is a term used to describe a small subset of British working class people. It used to describe young people with “loutish (ill-mannered) behaviour, violence, and particular speech patterns (all of which are stereotypes)” (Wikipedia.)

It is not a term used to describe the general working class population of Britian.
