Oh wow. So my comment from first hand experience was removed and this soviet propaganda piece is fine?

Nobody lived good under socialism. Maybe the factory chimneys and conveyor belts barely ever stopped but people had no life. You were either slaving in a factory for bread, sossage and a bottle of vodka. Or got sent to the military for years. Or jail.

We were not allowed to speak in our language nor sing. You’d get deported to a military hotspot far away to die or be put in jail for such a crime.

Smartest and most tallanted people and their families were killed or deported. Replaced with ruskies who came to loot and destroy.

Absolutely nobody was glad to live under the oppression of communist russia. While the rest of Europe thrived we lived almost a century behind.

It only brought destruction and pain for us.

I can’t believe I have to talk about this here.

And mods removing my comment on this topic?

Which part of the truth did hurt you so much that you couldn’t resist the power of censorship?

    … Unreal. Lemmy. How ironic.

I’d like to a few questions related to your personal experience.

First, what timeframe are you referencing? Second, what Soviet Republic or Warsaw Pact member nation were you living in?

I’d like you to go away. I did not join this community to talk with sovietskies.

That is painful past of my life that I have happily forgotten about.

        Please, leave.

This is plainly false, though. I already posted ample sources so I won’t retread old ground, but the idea that socialism was the problem isn’t realistic in the slightest. Western Europe thrived due to imperialism and colonialism, while the USSR aided liberation struggles around the world. This led to sanctions and trade embargoes, limiting access to luxury goods beyond what could be domestically produced. You aren’t speaking truth, but you did start lashing out at people and thus your comment was removed. And no, I’m not a moderator.

Because the actual collapse of the USSR made everyone other than the oligarchs deeply miserable, women who were doctors and scientists and engineers became sex workers overnight, you’re just repeating anticommunist nonsense

Actually no. When socialism collapsed we finally were free to do whatever we want. We started our own businesses with our own values that we individually believed in. We were free, at last.

Those on the other hand, who needed socialist forced factory work in order to do something, became total bums and these are the big crybabies who say that ussr took care of them. We have always encouraged them to move to their mother russia, but there you see, it’s much harder to be a bum. So they stay, do nothing and cry about ‘good old times’

These women, if they were educated in medicine or science could continue their careers if they were capable. The choice now was in their own hands. And to be fair, I have never ever heard that post soviet collapse sex work grew in my country.

You, orc girly, clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

It’s truly insane we have to talk about this.
