Hey! I just joined here after trying to join Reddit. They banned me without explanation. Twice. Very glad I discovered Lemmy. Seems even better! Thanks to all the Lemmards! Hehhee

When the ‘proof’ comes from biased sources, is it really proof, though? They don’t promote critical thinking and “doing your own research” if that critical thinking and research doesn’t lead to a conclusion that fits the instance narrative.
What sources count as “unbiased?” All sources have bias, that doesn’t mean they are wrong inherently.
Oh hey, there he is. Knew he’d show up here as soon as I made that comment. Is there just a button on .ml that people can click when someone mentions China/Russia/etc. to summon you? I’m 99% sure it was you who I had the discussion with that I’m referencing below. I have no intention of engaging with you again.
I sort by “New Comments” and browse Lemmy.ml locally. I don’t know who you are, I just responded to what I felt warranted doing so.
The proof comes in the form of the State Department or the Library of Congress of the United States admitting to doing the things that they’re accused of doing and it’s done in a similar way that people are learning from the Epstein files.
If you still don’t think that this isn’t proof, then there’s nothing anyone can do for you.
I don’t know what you’re referencing specifically; I was temp-banned from .ml for citing accounts from people who used to live in China and left the country as sources for what life in China was like for them, and was provided counter-‘proof’ from Chinese state media. That was basically all I needed to see to understand that, while I’m on board with the stance that western sources are not always accurate, what’s being pushed there is an agenda, not a search for truth.
