Old laptop got boosted. Wasn’t updated for 6 years. Microslop tried to install Win11, then said buy new hardware, then tried to install anyway. Didn’t worked. Zorin OS works great. Will also try out Lint Cinnamon, Cachy, Pop and some Arch.

    don’t bother distro shopping. if it’s mainstream and has updated packages the only thing you lose by changing distros is time. almost everything u want can be done in your distro.

    I just put Linux Mint Cinnamon on an old MacBook and it’s running pretty well. I had an SSD that I could use and an extra RAM (total of 3GB now), and it made all the difference. Planning to get two 4GB RAM cards to max it out, yay for old memory that’s still cheap.
