North Oaks, Minnesota is the only city in the United States that is not on Google Maps Street View. YouTube documentarian Chris Parr, who grew up not too far from North Oaks, set out to change that earlier this year. For a brief few days, he literally put North Oaks on the map. And then it was gone again.
“It’s known by Minnesotans as a place where executives and CEOs live,” Parr told 404 Media. “Famously Walter Mondale is from North Oaks, but also like United Healthcare executives and Target executives.”

This story buries the lede. The real fucked-up thing is that they made a city-wide HOA that’s basically an unaccountable shadow government designed to circumvent the normal democratic process of how a city is held accountable to the public.
In Minnesota? I think they picked a really great place to do this, since it’s so hard to believe.
Google actually gave up mapping Germany in street view, because anyone could ask for their property to be censored. It was just too much hassle. Sadly since then, the German public, much like the rest of the western world, has been pacified by Big Tech, so Google started mapping again.
I think they are at it again. There is more and more recent street view data now.
Yes they are. But as a German citizen you can still have your property be pixelated.
True but I think fewer people are doing it.

In a way, aren’t they all Target executives?
