When I started thus latest job I was a bit desperate due ro a year without work, and I basically asked for pay that would allow me to afford a single room apartment at the time. I’ve had raises since, and it still feels like I can barely afford the same thing. One of my uncles thinks my opinion doesn’t matter because I don’t own a home, so I’m “unsuccessful”, and we should listen to successful home owners like them.
